Country guides

For professionals in Pakistan

A practical guide for Pakistani professionals to expert work at frontier AI labs. Access is real. Payment mechanics are solved. The gap has always been awareness.

The awareness gap between Pakistani professionals and frontier AI labs is enormous, and it is entirely on the labs. There are cardiologists in Karachi with better clinical reasoning than most models being trained today. There are constitutional lawyers in Lahore whose judgment on legal argumentation is worth more than any dataset ever labeled. There are mathematicians in Islamabad and biologists in Peshawar whose expertise the frontier is quietly buying, one contractor at a time, from other countries.

This guide is written for them.

What this is, plainly

Frontier AI labs (companies like OpenAI, Anthropic, Google DeepMind, and their partners) pay domain experts to review, correct, and improve their models' reasoning. The work is remote. The pay is in USD. Compensation compares well to what those same experts earn locally, and often exceeds it by a significant multiple.

Remotebridge is a discovery service. We do not employ you. We do not take a cut from you. We list open roles at labs partnering with us, and if you sign up we will match your resume against the catalog. Your data stays with you until you choose to apply. Access is free, permanently.

Access is not the problem

Everything the labs require is achievable from anywhere in Pakistan.

  • Internet. Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, and most cities have stable enough connections for the work. A rural setting is not a blocker if fiber or reliable 4G is available.
  • Payment. Wise, Payoneer, and direct bank transfers all work. Most people set up a Wise account in an afternoon. USD lands in the account, converts to PKR at market rate. Tax obligations are the individual's to manage; a chartered accountant can walk you through the freelance income category if this is your first time.
  • Time zone. Almost all work is asynchronous. You choose the hours. There is no requirement to align with US or European business hours.
  • Equipment. A laptop and a broadband connection. That is genuinely the full list.

What labs actually look for

They look for evidence of dense, practiced expertise in a specific domain. A physician with recent clinical hours. A lawyer with recent litigation or contract work. A mathematician with a graduate degree and current research. A biologist actively in a lab. A teacher with subject-matter depth and recent classroom experience.

They look for written English at a professional level. Not native fluency. The ability to explain your reasoning clearly.

They do not look for AI experience. Most experts hired for this work have never trained a model. They are not being asked to. They are being asked to bring their field to the table.

What comes next

If you are a Pakistani professional in any of the fields we have listed, sign up and upload your resume. The platform will surface the roles currently open that align with your training. If the fit is honest, apply. If it is not, wait for the catalog to grow.

We will keep publishing profession-specific pieces (for physicians, for lawyers, for teachers, for researchers) and country-specific pieces (India, Egypt, Nigeria, the Philippines, others) as we go. If there is something specific you want covered, write to hello@remotebridge.co.

The frontier is being built with expert human judgment. Some of the best is already here. That is the whole point of this project.
