Join our Robotics Operations team as a Robot Teleoperator. In this hands-on laboratory role, you'll operate state-of-the-art robotic manipulators and humanoid robots using advanced teleoperation interfaces, including leader-arm systems, VR headsets, motion controllers, and other human-machine interfaces.
You'll work alongside robotics engineers and AI researchers to generate high-quality demonstration data that trains the next generation of Physical AI foundation models.
What You'll Do
• Teleoperate robotic arms and humanoid robots using 1:1 real-time control in designated safety lanes via leader-arm systems, VR headsets, and handheld controllers.
• Perform structured manipulation tasks while producing consistent, high-quality
• demonstration data for a wide variety of real-world tasks, including:
• Picking and placing objects
• Sorting household items
• Folding clothing and fabrics
• Opening and closing containers
• Assembly and light manufacturing tasks
• Multi-step manipulation use-cases
• Meet established quality and productivity metrics throughout each 8-hour shift.
• Monitor data collection sessions and report hardware or software failures.
• Support continuous improvements to our data collection pipelines.
• Note: This is a metrics-based role. Operators are expected to meet established quality and productivity targets while maintaining exceptional demonstration accuracy. Consistent, high-quality data collection is essential to the success of our AI systems.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the robotics facility for up to 6 hours per shift.
• Full use of both arms, hands, and upper-body mobility to safely teleoperate robotic arms and humanoid robots.
• Excellent manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and hand-eye coordination for precise 1:1 robot control.
• Comfortable performing repetitive manipulation tasks while maintaining consistent accuracy and quality.
• Able to wear VR headsets and operate leader-arm systems, handheld controllers, and other teleoperation interfaces for extended periods.
• Capable of working safely around active robotic systems while following all laboratory safety protocols.
Shift Schedule
Operations run 24/7 with overlapping shifts to maximize productive robot-hours.
• Shift 1: 5:45 AM – 12:00 PM
• Shift 2: 11:45 AM – 6:00 PM
• Shift 3: 5:45 PM – 12:00 AM
• Shift 4: 11:45 PM – 6:00 AM Shift overlap allows operators to transfer context, hand off robots efficiently, and maintain continuous production in our facility.
What We're Looking For
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
