Job Title: Senior Accountant Job Type: Full-time Location: Remote Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Accountant to own our general ledger and month-end close processes. You will be part of our financial reporting function — ensuring books are accurate, close timelines are met, and the integrity of our financial data supports confident decision-making at every level of the organization. Key Responsibilities: Own the end-to-end month-end close process, including preparation and posting of journal entries, accruals, and adjustmentsMaintain and reconcile the general ledger, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptlyPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAPPerform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all accounts are substantiated and documentedSupport external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and reconciliationsIdentify and implement improvements to the close process to reduce cycle time and increase accuracyPartner with leadership to ensure financial data is audit-ready and decision-ready at all timesMaintain and strengthen internal controls around the close and reporting cycle Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CA preferred3-5 years of accounting experience with a clear focus on G/L and month-end closeHands-on experience with ERP/accounting systemStrong command of Google Sheets and ExcelDeep knowledge of GAAP, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparationStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage tight close deadlines without sacrificing accuracyExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishComfortable working independently in a fully remote, fast-paced startup environment Preferred Qualifications: CPA license, or progress toward professional certificationExposure to AI tools or automated accounting workflows Compensation & Benefits Notice The national pay range for this full-time position is base salary of $90,000 –$120,000 USD. All employees are eligible for equity compensation, and employees may also receive performance-based bonuses, dependent on role and subject to company policies.
