Our team is engaging Workflow Annotator — Finance & Data Analysis experts to contribute to a customer project focused on enhancing real-world finance and data workflows. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters. This engagement centers on capturing, annotating, and documenting authentic, multi-step finance workflows using data warehouse and spreadsheet tools, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, realism, and security. Assignments are carried out in a contract/freelance capacity via Agora, our internal annotation platform, with flexible, self-directed participation and clear project deliverables.
Scope of Work
• Design and document detailed, multi-step finance/data analyst workflows reflecting authentic tasks such as data pulls, reconciliation, model building, reporting, and analysis.
• Independently execute each workflow using real tools (e.g., Snowflake, Excel/Sheets), capturing every step, decision, and relevant input/output.
• Integrate adjacent collaboration tools naturally into workflows, such as Slack threads for cross-functional coordination or shared documents for distribution and feedback.
• Provide comprehensive documentation for each scenario in Agora, including clear step-by-step instructions, rationale, formulas, queries, and illustrative screenshots or results.
• Identify and flag ambiguous or edge-case scenarios to the project team and incorporate feedback to improve workflow accuracy and coverage.
• Uphold high standards of data security and privacy in all documentation and workflow execution.
Preferred Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in FP&A, accounting, financial analysis, or data analytics with practical exposure to advanced spreadsheets and data warehousing tools (e.g., Snowflake).
• Ability to write robust SQL queries for reporting, reconciliation, and ad hoc analysis tasks.
• Demonstrated accuracy, attention to detail, and reliability in producing financial workflows and documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex steps and context to annotators unfamiliar with the work.
• Familiarity with collaborative tools such as Slack and Microsoft 365/Google Workspace as part of finance/data workflows.
• Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, or BI dashboards (Looker, Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Background in data annotation, process documentation, or QA is an advantage.
